“Early Days”

A pencil drawing of a leopard cub (Panthera pardus). This three-month old male cub was being hand raised in a private reserve in South Africa. Together with his sister, they were successfully released into the Luangwa Valley in Zambia six months later. The privilege of spending an afternoon with the two cubs not only allowed me to take some intimate photographs but also to realise that behind those appealing eyes, lies an instinctive and powerful killer.
